After we were married 18 years ago, we moved into a "married couple apartment" at the University of Arkansas. We lived there two years while I finished law school.
A friend of mine that lives in Fayetteville e-mailed me this photo today. Our apartment has been wiped out. I don't know what will be built there.

ah so poignant
I remember living in married student housing in the early to mid 80's. They were old shipyard barracks from World War II. There is now a parking lot where the barracks once resided. In my case, making way for the new was no doubt a good thing.
