It's been a pleasure sharing another season with you all - I'm looking forward to stepping across into winter. As a final post from me - a concussion of seasons.

Our cat loves
evening family story times;
one voice, many laps.

goblin ginko!
allhallowmas...
the goblins go back
into their books
I couldn't resist! ;-)
The image is from a time when I was haiku poet-in-residence at the U.K.'s largest celebration of natural history, Festival of Nature 2004. I was paid to visit schools around the South West of England with my haiku fieldbook, and get everyone doing ginko!

golden poplar leaves jiggle
coin of the season
one silo, two silos
a third leans away
brown leaves scuttle
train ride home
autumn fields and lakes
on rewind

One Blessed Moment
Roasting pumpkin seeds;
step out to watch the sky with
children laughing.
